Mate is the traditional drink of argentina. They but an herb called Yerba inside a cup which they call a mate. They are usually made of wood, ceramics, bull horn, or cow foot. Depends on what the person likes :) Next they put hot water into the herb with a metal straw called a bombilla. The bombilla filters the yerba so you don´t get a mouthfull of nasty plant stuff. I´ve tried it and i´m going to continue the tradition when I get home xD haha
